So, who are we, really??
Glad you asked :) We are two sisters from Canada that try to help others in need when we can. One of us is a seasoned knitter (Sharon) and the other is a beginner (Rose - me). Sharon came up with the idea last year when she was looking for a new knitting project to tackle. As she traditionally made a monetary donation every Christmas season to a local homeless shelter, she came up with the idea to knit hats instead and knitted 12 (pictured on the Home Page) which she donated in December 2013 along with other gently used clothing gathered from friends and family. I thought the idea of knitting handmade items for the needy sounded so fun and worthwhile, I joined in thanks to my sister's expert knitting guidance! I've since helped expand on the whole idea (including designing this website!) and we still continue to knit! We hope you enjoy the site and that you'll give the project a try and spread the idea around.

She lived her life gracefully, helping others and being creative and we know she would've loved and taken part in this project.
