Hooray! We Made A Bunch Of Items!

Now What?

First of all, congratulate yourself on a job well done! Whether you've made one item or several, whether you worked alone or with others, whether your work looks a little imperfect or professional, you deserve huge kudos! Now comes the best part, helping others!

We suggest tying this in with the holiday season every year. It can be a new tradition to help celebrate the season of giving. If you feel comfortable enough, you can walk around and hand out your items directly to those in need on the streets (not recommended for anyone under 18 years of age to do unless accompanied by an adult). This is a way to see your efforts in action first hand and the gratitude of those that will benefit from your kindness.

Another suggestion is to drop off your donations at a local homeless shelter. They will also be grateful for the donation and impressed at your hard work and kindness. And while you are there if you could spare some time to volunteer for awhile, maybe to help serve holiday meals, even better.

And the final suggestion we have is that if you ARE planning on donating the items to a local shelter, why not also gather some gently used warm clothing from friends and family to bring along as well and/or some non-perishable food items. Every little bit helps and especially these days the shelters never have enough donations.

NEW: Another idea of what to do with your knitted items was seen on Twitter HERE

And if you find this movement worthwhile please spread the word! The more people we help, the better!
